Sounds like a true NWHikers cliffhanger. 16.5 lbs. is a lot of Cocoa Puffs, dood. I'm looking forward to the pics! I noticed these phrases appeared more than once in your TR: "...this would be a long day...", and "...told us that good weather was on its way..."

Isn't there a courtesy rule, no posting a description of a fabulous trip without posting the follow up pictures within 24 hours?  I'll patiently wait a little while longer for the pics. But not much longer!

Matt - the whippets were enjoying a luxurious doggy retreat (aka lots of treats) at grandma's house (Tisha's mom). They get very spoiled there. They still missed us though and just about knocked us over in their enthusiasm of being reunited.
