In the Icicle drainage once again smile.gif at the source, no less. Mill Creek Rd. (at Stevens X-ski Center) is perhaps a little rougher than other years but would still be passable for most vehicles to the chairlift access gate. From here it's a 15 minute walk up the "road" to the PCT access trail. Look for it on your left opposite a ski area boundary sign. 15 more minutes up on the easy to follow ancient tread and you are spit out onto the PCT. Only a couple of disappearing snow patches on the trail to Lake Josephine, with one of the nicest deep blue-green hues around. I'll make another trip to the area in berry time to hit Swimming Deer. tongue.gif
