I know this one has been done recently but here it is again.  Did an overnighter at Charlia Lakes on Thursday night with 3 fish nuts.  We decided to go the Big Quil route since the Marmot Pass area is so scenic.  Beautiful weather the first day and the trail is in great shape.  Gotta love the scree slope down to the lakes, gotta love it even more climbing back up it the next day with full packs.

We somehow managed to fit 3 tents in that ONE nice spot on the west side of the lake right by the inlet stream.  Every cast yielded a fish.

Someone even made the comment that "I could even catch a fish in this lake".  The next morning the fog rolled in and we couldn't even see the lake.  By the time we reached the saddle at the top mist had surrounded us.

It parted long enough for us to see a couple of bear in the Constance Pass area.  By the time we got below Camp Mystery it started to rain off and on until back at the trailhead.  Overall a pretty good trip with some pretty decent weather.

Nice - glad you had a good time at the Charlias!  We found it wierd how much more cloudy they were than the Dungeness side of the ridge.  Jeremy especially enjoyed the fishing report  up.gif  cool.gif !
