stuck inside all day today to do homework. Regardless of the weather, I need to get out tomorrow.
THinking of Anderson/Watson Lakes so I can stop & get another crack at photographing the elusive Velvet Elvis mushroom near the Baker Lk trailhead, but also looking at Poet's Ridge due to that rat-bastard Alan Bauer's most recent bodacious trip report and photo on WTA's site.
Early start, no whiners please. I won't cancel or cut the trip short because of rain, sleet, or snow, unless one of us is visibly blue in color and/or blood is coming from both eye sockets and at least one ear. If you break a leg, you're expected to stop complaining and sling the thing over your shoulder and continue on.
I brake for mochas, purple mushrooms, cemetaries and fruit stands.

What's happening on Poet's Ridge? Ravens & stuff going mad with the tin-tin-tinnabulation of the bells, Bells, BELLS?????? 
I don't think I'll go to Poets Ridge anyway, much as I'd like to; I sorta need to reign it in a bit due to a snag in homework - need to be home at a normal hour tomorrow.

Darn Quark... I'm your perfect buddy for the day.
Well, almost perfect... because I didn't see this until now.
I was supposed to go 'somewhere' today, because it's MY day. Then family issues came up so I backed off to do only a half day on the trail. Then I totally wimped out because who wants to get soaked for only a half day?
Well, I would and do, but not solo.
