All the birds have flown up and gone;
A lonely cloud floats leisurely by.
We never tire of looking at each other -
Only the mountain and I. ~Li Po~

I guess the Angels were bound to beat us in a series eventually. Surely you guys know what it's like to get beaten by them.
I guess we can all cheer for the Angels now...

The Spankees lost tonight. They are up 2 games to 1...
I can't decide which I'd rather see. The Spankees not making the World Series -or- the Spankees getting pounded by Joe Torre and the Dodgers. It would be kind of fun to see the Dodgers win it in New York, this way Joe could blow Steinbrenner a nice kiss...

The Red Sox suc. I am always happy when they miss the post-season which baring a miracle finish will happen this year.
Go Yanks!

Lol. See you at Safeco on Monday. The advertisements on 710 today comparing Rally Fries to Fenway Franks and the Ted Williams Tunnel to Edgar Martinez Way were cute, but kind of far fetched.

Cute or not, the Red Sox still aren't making the playoffs.
Yes I do realize the Mariners stink like 5-day old wool socks, that is not the point of this thread though.

That may be likely, but we just swept you with 1/2 the team on the DL.

You say that like its a case of David slaying Goliath or something. I don't know if you noticed, but we suck harder than a Dyson. A Little League team could beat us. If the Sox didn't sweep us (especially without Felix starting in the series), I would have shat a gold brick.
Bring on the #2 pick baby! I just hope Pittsburgh wants a pitcher more than they want Anthony Rendon.

I'm simply pointing out that with a healthy team, we'd be capable of much, much more. 7 games out ain't too shabby all things considered. Our record would put us in first in the AL West. Them are the breaks though.

Maybe, but the Rays would still be better. Probably the Yanks too, unfortunately.

The Red Sux failure gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.....Go Yankees!
Edit] make that an epic and historic failure.
