...with Matt and "Dayhike" Mike. Started at 5:30 and ended at 8:30. Have to say I prefer the Enchantments without snow cover (and with goats) but hitting the larches near their peak made it worth the effort. Had forgotten how much I hated exiting via Snow Creek.

I have no idea. Whatever it is it's too many once you hit Snow Creek.

I think it's about 18 miles. At least my feet (and my map) told me that when I did it.

Gorgeous! The water level in Snow Lake looks really low. Not surprisingly, just really low.

Outstanding pics as always Tom.

It is 17 miles from one TH to the other. A long day even without snow but magical (as your pics show) with it.

Great pics on a wonderfal day. I am agreeing with you about the section from the snowlakes on out, but then maybe I should try it in the daylight (two years in a row on this hike its been getting dark as we made our way out on this section). Of course it wouldn't have compared to the views in the Basin on Saturday.
