I've seen some funny/interesting signs at or near trails. Like the sign posted at Lake Victoria saying "No Motorized Vehicles" even though a motorcycle could go no were near that place. I know some of you have posted pics of the more interesting ones. Anything peculiar you've noticed?

Found this one on the Rock Mountain trail, Hwy2 side. A little unnerving... paranoid.gif

Impact Area
The DOT fires rounds to cause avalanches in order to prevent them from happening at a worse time. I'm sure you would be fine judging by the beautiful sunshine depicted in the picture. I use to be a Forward Observer in the Army and I called for a lot of Artillery missions. I'd love to have that DOT job but I would have no clue were to look.

There are signs in some parking spaces in downtown Kirkland (unfortunately I don't have a photo) that read: NO PARKING WEDNESDAYS 12PM-7PM MAY 1-OCTOBER 1, 2002 For such a specific time period, strangely these signs remain 5 yrs. later. uhh.gif I've always wondered what exciting thing happened in those 5 short months to warrant the parking space closures.... breakdance.gif

I'm not sure if I posted this one before, but I saw it near Alpental while snowshoeing in the area. Still not quite sure what it means.......
and while this one isn't exactly a sign, I saw this while walking on the beach today hmmm.gif

This one cracked me up at Wallace Falls.
Sign at Wallace Falls

There was also one years ago on the bridge at Deception Pass State Park, but we didn't have a digital camera then. It showed an image of a person getting bonked in the head by the side mirror of a large vehicle. You're sposed to watch out if you walk out on the bridge.

For those who have not been to Camp Muir to see the WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE outhouse (I'm waiting for them to build the ramp from Paradise... dizzy.gif )...here it is...
Notice the stairs...
Notice the sign that says CLOSED just over the sign that says PLEASE KNOCK. But most importantly, notice the little white sign...
Wouldn't it be a bummer to get your wheelchair all the way up there to find that you still have to climb up the stairs and climb in the top door to use the facilities rolleyes.gif

The lower half is locked because of snow????, so why is it locked when there isn't snow? I can see a lawsuit coming with that outhouse. Some moron is going to be climbing over and break a leg and lose their once in a life time chance at climbing Rainier. hockeygrin.gif Oh man' if it's someone in a wheelchair I can see it now. I better call Jessie Jones and get him right on it.

I love the smell of deet in the morning. The smell, you know that deet smell, the whole mountain. Smelled like... victory.
