A far cry from Round with Magellan and JimK, which was the loose plan, it ended up with JimK and I at Cougar. That's alright; as most of you know, I'm a loser, and haven't done a lot of the more popular trails. To illustrate just how much of a loser I am, get this: I had never been to Coal Creek falls, and even worse, had never been to the Redtown town site (but I had been to the baseball field). We tucked those in, as well as Wilderness Peak (I have been there before) and a whole bunch of other stuff.
7-8 miles for the day, and I think Harvey Manning joined us a ways at Coal Creek falls. I'm pretty sure he was there.
The weather not only saturated us, it saturated the colors.
Oh, and if you ever want to see something funny, take a long, lanky guy like JimK, and watch him balance his umbrella while hopping around, trying to put on rainpants in a downpour. I guess I could have helped with the umbrella, but I had problems of my own. Plus, I was laughing too hard, and it was enjoyable as hell.

We who get out what ever the weather is and when ever we can are not losers. Jim and H. Hound are the only folks I know that hike with a roof, that's cool But it sure did dump huh. I was standing in the Skagit in it and about froze.

Nice pictures Quark! I know how difficult it can be to take good shots in wet weather. Way to keep the lens dry

Good for you for getting out! I especially love the 'yellows" shot. It's moody and calming and just a great image of a cloudy, damp fall day in the woods!

People who think photography is pointing a camera and clicking need to look at Quark's photos. I can click off shots along the trail all day and not get good stuff like this.
