NICE!!!
Great group shot. You guys had some great weather and company on a fine trip for this time of year.
On a warmer day many moons ago, you would have had a 360 degree view like this.
44 labels Breccia Peak Panorama, taken 8.5.06 from the summit of Breccia Peak.
Cheers!

Well, I learned something....many thanks. "Bret-cha". I'll remember this one. My studies never included geology.
The photos certainly describe a terrific adventure! When I did my backpacking on Lost Creek Ridge, I camped just below Sunup Lake. I think I went up there 4 times and twice all the way across the ridge. It is one of my favorites if not my most favored trip...hard to say. I am kicking myself for not taking the time to ascend Breccia. Great views and that nice, summery pano of same, too. What a great trip you had! Thank you for sharing the wonder-world of the glistening snow and jagged peaks.

Absolutely gorgeous. Breccia and Lost Creek Ridge is a favorite. I was there two years ago in Oct for two days. We stayed at Sunup Lake and were able to spend time exploring the ridge (NE) above Sunup as well as taking a nice walk between Breccia and the alien spacecraft on Pt. 6343 before hiking out. Had a great time and good weather.
One of my best memories of that trip, is waking up at sunrise (at Sunup Lake of course), poking my nose and one eye out of the wonderfully warm sleeping bag, peering over the sparkling frosted toe of the bivy just as the sun turned the summit of Sloan Peak brilliant orange. Beautiful.
Great pictures, makes me want to go back.

Yay, I got to be in a picture.
Justus, the "final push to the summit" shot came out especially nice, with the hiker and Sloan offset from each other, and the hiker silhouetted against the cloud and surrounded by the various ridges and peaks. Glad I finally got to meet you.
Some very nice shots on the link Guiran provided for Chris's photos also. You can see the difference it makes to have the wide angle and telephoto on the SLR, instead of just a smaller digicam.

Final Push to the Summit is, indeed, a fabulous photo! One of these years when I feel flush, I will get me a digital SLR. I have semi-retired my near ancient Nikon for the handy point and shoot...there ARE shortcomings to be sure. Still, I have a lot of fun with it (since Memorial weekend, 2007).
