When you mention London, this comes to mind: Rain gray town known for its sound Eight Miles High, The Byrds So I'm not sure London has no soul. Although the London of today is no doubt much different from when Baking Street came out in the 70s.

Wikipedia has a good summary for the origins of Baker Street (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baker_Street_(song)). Short answer is it was London.

For a long time I thought the last song on Abbey Road went like this: Oh Madge is a pretty nice girl But she doesn't have a lot to say Oh Madge is a pretty nice girl But she changes from day to day I wanna tell her that I love her a lot But I gotta get a bellyful of wine Oh Madge is a pretty nice girl Someday I'm going to make her mine, oh, yeah Someday I'm going to make her mine

I just heard this song again on the radio, and listened closely. Either I'm not hearing the lyrics correctly, or this is a gay song. "There goes my hero, watch him as he goes There goes my hero, Sgt. Mary." I know I could solve this in five seconds by looking in Bing, but that's no fun.
