I headed out to West Tiger # 3 this last Sunday. It was raining pretty hard in Seattle, but the weather was supposed to clear slightly. As I hit Issaquah, the rain had ceased, but everything was encased in a soupy, cloudy fog. I wasn't concerned though. I didn't figure there were any views anyway, and I was just going to get outside and get a little bit of a workout. I was on the trail by 8:00.
Frankly, I went into this hike with low expectations, and I was truthfully blown away by what a gorgeous day I had. The trail is lovely, and as soon as I hit the snow, this hike was like heaven from beginning to end. Absolutely unbelievable, not to mention a relatively safe and convenient hike, that felt like a winter wonderland.

Thanks for the great pictures. Every time I got to Tiger (which has been frequently recently with all the avalanche danger elsewhere) I make sure at least part of the route is on a trail I haven't done before. I'm really starting to appreciate what a great area this is, and it will only improve with time.
