Well I guess Some people call Granite's associated western peak NW Granite or Tusk O'Granite, but whatever, I'll always call it West Granite!!!
To each is own.
Anyways forgot the camera at home but will remember it next month when I do the loop again.
Left the TH at 1100 Up South ridge of G arriving at 1400., then snowshoed down the ever-so cool and corniced West ridge of Granite to the G/WG saddle then to the top of West Granite at 1500.
Your welcome Stefan.
Then, my favorite part of the loop, The decent down the south ridge of West Granite along the most amazing accessible display of snow formations and corni on a windy ridge to Pt. 5140. From here you just descend along the ridge and a steep snowslope to a small basin and then SSW through the woods to the trail. Pack the snowshoes and hike the white sidewalk to the TH at 1700.
