you just licked my probe!"
What is the best way to celebrate your 40th? Get a whole bunch of like minded folks together in the mountains and proceed to have nothing but fun! What was the results? Blisters, sunburns, bruises, whiplash, dehydration, tired sore muscles, laughter, and grins from ear to ear! I want to thank everyone for coming up and joining in on all that fun. We had Myself, dicey, AB, raz2sea, Yuckon222, BJ, Mtn Man, M. Mark, Magnum, wamtngirl, “just” Todd. Aussie and WCR popped by the camp on Sunday and met up with Randy and Donb for some skiing. Climbed up mazama ridge from Narda Falls. Weather was sunny and quite warm. We found and set up camp and then headed out for some fun. 4 skiers, I split boarder, and the rest on snow shoes or just booting it.
The light was fantastic for images. i watched some climbers heading up Pinnacle peak.
Settled down for a great night of fun.
It snowed overnight and we had at least 2 inches or more fresh pow . The skiers headed back out earlier than some of us. Many of us stayed back at camp and played in our backyard, shovel sledding and snowboarding.
The day turned out perfect and the ride down was AWESOME!! Mtn Man and I found some sweet deep fresh Powder to ski/ride down in for a section. I pretty much rode my board most of the way down. The ride from the camp down the ridge was a blast! then it was time for some FOOD!!
All in all It was a great weekend for a GTG. Thank you everyone!!! PS. I am too tired to write anymore than what I just did…there are better writers in the group. Write away folks!! BTW videos will come later... winksmile.gif

from the looks of it, you and the group know how to celebrate the big 40!

Great time with an interesting group of people! What a unique way to celebrate Tazz's birthday weekend! And the weather was surprisingly good, certainly much better than forecast. Camp location was perfect with stunning views of Rainier and the Tatoosh Range (I'll definitely be back this summer to dayhike thru the Tatoosh area). I have a few pics to post after I sort thru them tonight but here's one pano just after we popped up onto Mazama Ridge at around 5200' elevation.

Ahem... that's a Gumby suit. No flying squirrels here. Yes, a Bivanorak. Highly recommended. There really aren't enough photos on this thread, so I'll add a few more.
