Had time for a half day snowshoe before heading off to Wintergrass! A bit dated but conditions should stay similar for the next few days. I met Lori G. at the Pass. We spotted my car at Gold Creek and her's back at the Pass as to do a point to point.

This is a good safe route during avy. hazard as we stayed in the trees to the saddle above the second lake.

From the saddle on the Commonwealth divide we simply went north toward the Kendall Peaks ridge where it got steep and enjoyed the views at this turnaround point.

Made it to Tacoma just in time to catch Michael Cleveland open up a great night of bluegrass! Well sort of: Chris Thile seems to be straying a bit from straight up bluegrass, but incredible musicianship! The Infamous Stringdusters brought us back to more trad. and I love that Andy Falco is now the guitarist!
