Lastly, if my guesstimate is right about the route we took to camp, that the steep uphill we took was 56 - 71 degree slope??? eek.gif Did anyone track the GPS data, I'd be really curious to see what that actual route was?
Good to meet you raz2sea! We just cut up the trail a little early. Hate to bust your bubble, but the incline was probably around 25-30 deg at the steepest section during the ascent. Skinning shouldn't be done over 20deg, but it's possible (like this weekend). The icy parts in the trees made it a little more challenging. You'll get used to it up.gif B)

Mmmmm, backcountry...

Willy Bogner being the top ski wear apparel designer in Europe means you could start a new career as a model. Of course leaving the Cascades and working in the Alps would suck. I'm sure Willy will call you shortly.

Thanks Mtn Man, good meeting you and everyone else this weekend. Yea the slope degree was some best guesses I made in TOPO! as to what route we used for ascent. Maybe I'll get to the point where I can skin it up there. Sure makes for an easier way down smile.gif
