Ok, not really a hike, more of a walk. Trying to get the dog on some longer/different walk and go where I haven't been before...
Weather held off. Nice mostly cloudy but dry outing. Only saw two people the whole trip. One guy on a mountain bike heading up and one lady walking up when I was just past the Cedar Butte junction on the way back. Nice to just talk a walk for a change.
All pictures here
Sign at actual start of John Wayne. Plan today is to only walk about 3 miles out. Don't go in the watershed! Si without the power lines. Snowy Tenerife I'm told Iron Horse Falls Entering Ragnar. This is about 3 miles from where I started in Cedar Falls. So time to head back. Old structures/RR debris at Ragnar The Three ledges on way back Almost back to car... Dad aren't you coming?

Cedar Falls to Mine Creek bridge on bicycle

Nice pics, I think your waterfall is Boetzke Falls. I believe the Cedar Falls is in the watershed.
I will add my pics and TR here as to not clutter the site with another one of the same.
More history for me today as I get out the bike and pedaled along an old integral part of Seattle's growth and upbringing. Everyone knows this trail so I won't bore with lame words that I might come up with, since I'm so witty with my choice of literacy. In short, I took lots of pics, snow level just beyond the Mine Creek bridge, found a few log chutes, and got rained on a bit. No pics of peeing deer this time either.
Full set of pics here.
