I was hoping that 2009 would bring a TR of the 2nd ascent... Perhaps 2010...

All, Being a big dog fan, I was wondering how the husky-mix managed the prussik ascent. Maybe a special pair of jumars or something? Had me stumped there for about .08 seconds. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Tom

with all this warm weather of late, i hear the crevasses up there are huge right now! be careful if you're courageous enough to log a 2nd ascent via this route.

The Si glacier is one of the two or three glaciers in the U.S. that is actually growing (St. Helens and Shasta...?), so your trip report next year will probably be taller as well. lol.gif

I heard the rescue chopper was able to actually land inside the crevasse, but they bearly made it out as night temps dropped and the crevasse began to close.

Touron is a nougat of Arabic origin made with almonds and honey or sugar, without which it would just not be Christmas in Spain.

I hate it when crevasses close when I'm still using them. Darn crevasses, anyway.

Best TR ever. I visit this every April Fools Day in the same way that I have to watch A Christmas Story every Christmas Eve. up.gif
