I spent two weeks visiting my mom in Arizona recently. She lives in a retirement park. I was able to go on a few hikes with her Canadian neighbors. Had some wonderful times with some wonderful people.
Our hikes were in the Superstition Wilderness areas east of Phoenix. They've had a large amount of rain this past winter, so the colors were out.

Nice Pics! Wish I was there right now.
The gecko is actually a collared lizard. They eat mainly other lizards.

Pretty sweet photos! Nice to see some bright colors after all the white around here. When are we going to see some shots from your new toy?

Wow, BpJ, looks like you and I were there about the same time. These were taken in the Superstitions near Lost Dutchman State Park last Wednesday.

Very nice, I'm terribly envious. My goal when I retire is to have a small place in AZ to get away from the gray short winter days here.

BPJ, what were the high and low temps while you were there?
.....leaving me wanting to return over and over in what ever capacity that may be, even if one day my knees are too old and I can only see the mountains from my porch.

55 or so for the low. 92 for the high. Averaged around 85 while I was there most of the time.
