Gorgeous pictures - thanks for sharing! Thats a trip I'd like to do - what were the trail conditions like? It looks like there was still a ton of snow up there.

The descent wasn't bad, it was just very time consuming especially down lower where you have to crawl over LOTS of trees. I was also post-holing to my knees with about every 4th step. I just kept thinking how I really wouldn't want to be going UP this way. Also, the old road is very overgrown and there is a HUGE landslide that took out a good portion of it.
I didn't bring the snowshoes and probably wouldn't, although post-holing was occasionally an annoyance.
Trail is totally snow-free to Colchuck Lake, and it's solid snow from there. Colchuck was mostly thawed and from this shot I took it looked like Stuart was thawed too.
