Road has been cleared all the way to the Thirty Mile trailhead. Lake Creek road had multiple blowdowns, had to walk the two miles to the trailhead - Forgot chainsaw. Black Lake was still completely frozen.

Drove the 8-mile road toward Billygoat Corral. Road is open and cleared for about 12 miles- right before the Copper Glance trailhead. Intrepid 4x4'ers would likely get much farther. There was a logging operation going on last winter there so the road was nice with no blow downs!
Remembered the chainsaw this time, so we went back to the Lake Creek road and spent a few hours clearing it. Also cleared that huge log at the start of the trail that's been a pain for while.
This info is good to know, thanks. It looks like the eastern slopes of the Cascades had a less than average snow year compared to the western side which is above normal. This should make for early access to some of those eastern trailheads.
I wonder what the status of Grade Creek Rd is, I know it's snow free for the most part based on past experience, but like Entiat River Rd the forest service is the gate keeper.
