Even white trees are scenic.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Trees that need your help
There are nine Doug firs slated to be chopped down on Village Park Dr. SE in Issaquah (take a left off Lakemont after the Thriftway) so the rich people in the mega mansions can have a view. Sign there lists dates for comments.

Hike first, all the rest can wait!

The second one makes me sad, but the 1st and third are pretty scenic. Thanks for a different perspective. up.gif

Scenery in the forest. Trees may be just what it takes to make a building become scenery.

All, I am only a partial tree fan. Is it just me, or do many of them look alike? Also, in the lower elevations especially, like to Ashland or Boardman Lakes, there seem to be an awful lot of them. I call these "Tree Hikes" and I do not like them. rant.gif rant.gif Also, at Barlow Point, Tree needs to cut a few down; my view is getting hemmed in big time. waah.gif waah.gif Our alder and cottonwood leaves do not have pretty fall colors. down.gif But, I like to mark my territory on the bark of some unsuspecting tree. My trusty hound then follows with same. That is how we leave our mail for the tree dwelling critters. And for that service, I am grateful for the trees. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Tom

But they do look nice on log trucks too. biggrin.gif Neither of these made it onto a truck so all may relax.

Yes. Sometimes they are the main attraction themselves, othertimes they are secondary. And sometimes they do just get it in the way lol.gif

I think they are scenery. I just usually like to be up high enough where I can see lots of them. Some of the really cool solo tree pics you guys have posted are starting to sway my opinion of the single tree though.

In Zion park I found the trees especially dramatic, but perhaps that is because it was in the spring and they were still bare and stark against the cliffs.

I like trees even more after reading this thread. Wonderful photos, especially Kyle D, Sky_Pilot, Galiwalker, and Chainsaw Willie!
