We took our son to Spider Lake (ONF) on Saturday. I haven't had time to get the pictures off the camera yet, but wanted to report that the trail is in good condition. Lots of downed trees over the winter have been cleared, and it looks like the stream at the end of the lake washed out part of the trail but it's easy to just waltz right over all the stuff the stream left behind. The lake level though is really low - surprising, given the late snow melt this year. We were there in late July last year and the lake was really pretty. This time it was full of stumps sticking out... still a gorgeous trail, but the lake itself... eh.

I'm way behind on my trip reports, but I took my 14 month old son on the Echo Ridge "Outback" loop July 6. It's outside of Chelan and I was pressed for time, but wouldn't really recommend it. (It's probably fun for bikers or in the snow, though.)

We took our 12-month-old daughter Abby on her first camping trip July 13-15. She did awesome, other than waking up and wanting to play at the first hint of light each morning (I can remember being the same way when I was a kid). Cape Flattery:

Mt. Logan, we were just at Cape Flattery on Tuesday. No pics on my computer, yet, tho, they are all on hubby's rant.gif . Those pics of Abby are priceless. Where did you camp? We spent two nights at the Dungeness Spit CG - it was in the rain shadow!
