I have some more too. We have had a great summer with our boy, and he LOVES the outdoors (so far). he likes lakes, "big big volcanos," big trees that fell down, rivers, and especially, "big big waterfalls."

Wow, Foist, look how big he's getting! And Moosefish, I always enjoy seeing what you guys do. I haven't put many trips up here on this site lately. I'll have to see what I can do about that. wink.gif

We hiked up Frary Peak on Antelope Island (Utah) yesterday with our 22 month old. We saw lots of birds and bison and interesting rocks. And we got to climb a Juniper tree (one of Ethan's favorite things).

Time for catch up. Early August on Hurricane Ridge with my seven year old son. We tested Altra shoes and Gregory packs. http://www.moosefish.com/cgi-bin/package_display.pl?packageID=2135
Later that week, a three day trip to Lila Lake and Alta Mountain with the aforementioned boy. More Altra and Gregory testing. The only goat we saw was high on the hillside above Lake Laura. http://www.moosefish.com/cgi-bin/package_display.pl?packageID=2136
Then I took the girls on the High Divide in Olympic National Park. We got amazingly lucky and picked up a last-minute permit for Heart Lake. This was the end of our Altra and Gregory testing. No goats, but we did see elk and a bear. http://www.moosefish.com/cgi-bin/package_display.pl?packageID=2138
And since we started summer at Sunrise it only made sense to wrap it up there, too. Second Burroughs was windy, but awesome. http://www.moosefish.com/cgi-bin/package_display.pl?packageID=2149
Next up: Snowshoe season!

Since the first trip report I pulled up today had a sparkling small face in the summit shot I thought I'd bump this thread to remind the creators of tiny hikers to link up their adventures here!

Love this thread. I'm taking my girls to the North Cascades this weekend while mom and baby head to California. We'll certainly have pics to share!

Your little one is logging some good mileage this year. I really like this pic, that's adorable. I'm sure at that age not really comprehending there's a huge mountain in your face, but looks pretty contented with the situation. up.gif

Happy to say we are moving back West (California) this Fall, so we have bigger mountains on the horizon!
