Wow! This place is beyond my capabilities, but you certainly are letting us live it vicariously through this excellent report!

I'm pretty sure there's a euphemism or double entendre in there somewhere. |

Don't forget fish catchin'.
Tisha just woke up from sleeping for two straight days (she only gained 28,500' last week - that's as tall as Everest!) and might be posting some of pictures by the end of the night. I had a sneak preview and though they pale in comparison to my panos you're all in for a real treat.

Excellent narative! Sounds like a great trip was had by all. Too bad you missed out on Dragontail. I'm pretty sure it would have stolen the best summit award. Pretty incredible view. Ah, reason to go back to be sure!

Great TR and excellent pics! That's a place I NEED to check out. The question is, can you actually take a bad pic in that region??? Well, maybe of a goat's butt......
Thanks for sharing!

Remember, epic is what you make it.
Ever since our last Enchantments trip in 2002, I've really been looking forward to exploring this area more thoroughly. Thank you to MLHSN for helping me to fulfill this wish!
Since I seem to have some sort of over compulsive disorder with my shutter trigger finger, it took me far too long to sort through the numerous pictures. Here are my absolute favorites, but there are plenty more in the flickr sets linked below each day for your viewing pleasure.
DAY 1:
Freya Ice Boys under the Witches Tower Dragontail Looms over the Enchantments Tarns and Annapurna Tarn and McClellan Temple of Dude Did we miss the cairn? Talisman Lake Prusik Peak dominates the sky on the descent to Rune Lake Annapurna sunset glow
Chants Day 1
DAY 2:
Lorelei and Druid-Cannon Ridge Dragontail and Stuart Hmmmm....that's the summit? Ryan on Cannon (photo Alti-Dude) Checking out our route down Coney Island Coney Lake Water clouds (photo Alti-Dude) Please one more cast? Panoraminator in action! Temple above Shield Purple fields at Shield Babe's fat trout (photo Alti-Dude) Evening light on Prusik
Chants Day 2
DAY 3:
Peek-a-boo! Prusik over Naiad McClellan and Viviane Here fishy fishy. Leprechaun Lake Sunshine on The Prong I iz mean climbing machine! Rock monkey :P Not too much further.... Only in the Enchantments do you get views like this! Men of McClellan Imperial Star Destroyer aimed for Annapurna Ice axe synchronization Blue Steel on McClellan Crystal Lake under Little Annapurna Dude, you totally promised me good fishing! Dwarf Pond outlet Fishing fail I heart ridge routes (photo Alti-Dude)
Chants Day 3
DAY 4:
Morning over Rune Lake Annapurna ascent The group silhouetted by our nemesis! Babe at Annapurna summit (photo Alti-Dude) Working our way to the East Ridge of Dragontail Ryan and the spiral staircase to Witches Tower Brynhild Lake through the rocks of Witches Tower Scrambling down the tower Descending to Brynhild Ring of ice Oh so tired.

Tish has got it all; peak bagger, lake bagger, fisherwoman, photographess. A fine addition to the blonde population.
What a broad!

I agree. Some of your best photographs for me, and not just because the subject matter is gorgeous. (And before you even think it, no, I am not talking about "Blue Steel"!)
