I hope I die before I grow old, sad, grouchy and lose all sense of humor. Or maybe right at that exact moment, that would be perfect. "Hey, you darn kids, get the heck offa my lawn! Choke, gasp, (keel over), Rosebud!, (expire)".
I think Angry Hikers comment in Scrooge's Ice Caves report did add something: it added a touch of irreverent humor. It was not sarcastic IMO. Nor was it mean or insulting. I thought it was funny. I think it's sad that someone wants to be able to censor other members for posting harmless humor that they don't get. This website has rules, follow them and you are OK. Saying that the ice caves should be dynamited for safety reasons is within all bounds, and is a humorous and insightful social commentary on our culture of risk aversion.

Ahhhhh. That's nice. ....... That ignore function really works. ......... Probably Sluggo's lectures are next.
Something lost behind the ranges. Lost and waiting for you....... Go and find it. Go!

If you click on the "ignore" button on a post a member makes, all of their posts will show up like this:
example - I don't really have Q on ignore.
If you change your mind, there's an option to stop ignoring, too.
A fuxk, why do I not give one?

Wow. That's a considerate feature... I guess. Though I gotta agree with MtnGoat on this one.
And I'm not even going to go near the issue of whether you do or do not have Quark on ignore, kleet.
Thanks for the clear response.

I never felt the need to use the ignore button until all the Workman wannabees started spewing thier agenda here.
Read carefully here mods, this is not a personal dig at Dave.
I was fine with Dave. He adds some color to the site.
But its all the rest of the gun lovin', animal killin', " but I really love nature" chuckleheads that made me start to use it. Make no mistake about it, if there ever is a call in this state for an organized militia, we will have no problem rising to the challenge, based on what has been posted in here in the last couple of years.
I think they will loose interest soon, once the topics become more centered around hiking and other passive pursuits, with no positions to defend, and wander off to other sites.
Then my ignore button can just sit there and collect web dust.
