Our party of three climbed Bare Mountain via the trail from Lennox Creek off the North Fork Snoqualmie River road out of North Bend. We nearly ran over a bear cub on the drive to the trailhead.
The trail was brushed out and in excellent condition. Not much else to report except that the views were superb.
The barely readable sign on the Bearing Tree at the Bare Mountain trailhead.
Two members of the party cooled off in this pool on the way back.

Thanks for the report and pics!
I really hoped to make it up there this year, but in waiting for the snow to go I'm now faced with cold wet weather again. Maybe September will bring a window of opportunity.
So how were the bugs?
Thanks for the pictures and report. Bare has been the sight of quite a few memorable times for me.
1) 1998 - New hiker (me) clad in cotton bashes his way through 9 foot high soaking wet ferns. Finally stop at summit only to discover I am hypothermic. Thank goodness my friend had some dry stuff for me to put on.
2) 1999 - First ever bear encounter. I am solo and spot him just below the summit. He never sees me, making it a perfect first time.
3) 2000 - Trying to take father in law to the mine area. He feels terrible on the way in, and can't hike any further. We turn back eventually, believing he is having some sort of insulin shock since he is diabetic, and registers about 48 on the glucose meter. 40 hours later as his heart stops on the way to the hospital we discover he actually had a heart attack on the trail. His new best friend is a pacemaker.
4)2001 - I offer to take him back to Bare Mountain to 'finish the job'. He smiles and says no.
Oh my goodness. Paradise still has ice on it in August. I remember going there one weekend before memorial day and the lake was thawed!!!!
