Spray Park is still offering a fantastic display of flowers. Of course, with them come the mosquitoes. They greet you as you first reach the meadows and will then escort you to the destination of your choice.

Thanks guys! I had hoped to shoot up to Indian Henry's this afternoon, but it looks like responsibilities are going to keep me at home. Can you believe Labor Day Weekend is only a week away and here we are photographing flowers? huh.gif Um, what bear? hockeygrin.gif

I have to say I like the blue skies & instant turn around (you shot these last night!) I agree with the one Karen picked. I imagine it works more as a larger photo . I find in the tighter crops from Spray Park (in general - not specific to your pics) that Echo/Observation Rock seem like they are 'in the way' whereas in that pic they seem to flow with the rest of Rainier

Oooooooh, I see, it was one of those "Don bears"...the ones that don't move and look very similar to rocks. hmmm.gif hockeygrin.gif lol.gif I'm glad you got clear skies because it was yucky "way up" north here last night! up.gif

David, I agree with your assessment (ok, this is getting really weird!). I think lower Spray Park offers a better overall composition of Rainier with Echo and Observation on the left side rather than in the middle:
Mt. Rainier above Spray Park

Unfortunately, it doesn't offer the variety of flowers that the meadows up higher have right now. I chose to go with variety this time. Edit: Now I realize you were simply supporting why you liked an image, rather than being critical of location. Oops.

You really got to be careful, Don. Anybody who didn't know better might actually believe there was a place that looked like that. tongue.gif

Something lost behind the ranges. Lost and waiting for you....... Go and find it. Go!
