Creek below Mount Logan.
This creek flows off the Douglas Glacier on Mount Logan in the North Cascades. This was taken just below the feature known as the Pillbox.

Some of few turns we made during Chiwaukum traverse, mostly breakable crust which was ok for traveling. Filtered sun washed out much colors but made soft shadows:
BW brought out the snow surface better for this:

I downloaded the Nik collection (yay, Google!) and used the Silver EFX as a standalone for these. This will be a lot of fun!

That is a great one with all its layers! On my first day in Arches National Park last year, I walked through Park Avenue, known for its monumental landscapes. Sometimes the delight is in the details:

What look like shadows are actually silhouettes. This shot was taken early in the morning; the light source is our front yard's lamp.
