The Short and Simple TR: I had absolutely georgous weather on this trip and I couldn't ask for any better stuff! Stunning scenery and I think this is one of the most beautiful loops in the Olympics. It's even more beautiful this time of the year. I did this loop a few years back in July and I still thought it was spiffy. I think this loop is even better than the High Divide. hockeygrin.gif Started at Deer Park and hiked to Cedar Lake the first day. The next day traveled cross country to Gray Wolf Pass via a very faint way path and really tiny cairns, then to the Dosewallips Trail (where I saw "I'm in desperate need of a juicy hamburger" Dane), then to Dose Meadows and up to Lost Pass for the night under a full moon. I said heck with the tent and bivied at Lost Pass. The next day hiked to Cameron Pass and hiked out the Cameron Creek Trail to Three Forks where I spent the night. Hiked out to Deer Park the next day. Not counting the last day, I hiked roughly 36 miles in 3 days. Saw 1 bear, 2 elk, 1 deer, about 15 humans and many ravens. I'm gonna have to go back to Cedar Lake, its too beautiful to resist not going back. Now for the picture show:

Nice, we've eyed that loop for a while now. Cedar Lake does look like somewhere to be visited in person.

That's a pretty good haul for one day. I have to agree with you on the High Divide comment. It really turns me off with the massive amounts of people that frequent that loop.
