thank you for this, I'm really excited to see them this year! Question, what do you think is the best day hike with larches and a lake?

life is short, but sweet for certain my website: www.lostintheecotone.com

Wow, the larches at Goat Mtn. is a couple weeks ahead of those in the Stuart Range. We just finished a multi-day trip in the Enchantments, where the larches are just starting to turn. We figure that it'll be another two to three weeks to peak, depending on how cold it gets up there.

Larches are still green (a few with barely yellow tips) in the Teanaways (Ingalls, Lake Ann).

Opinions expressed here are my own.

People should post they're opinions as to good larch places to see them. Chiwaukum lakes area is one.

I regret to inform you that due to Global Warming there will be no larches in the Enchantments this year. So save yourselves, and your poodles, the trip and avoid the area entirely.

Will be at their peak in a week in the high meadows in the Stiletto Peak area. We were there the past two days and they're turning, but most are not golden yet.
