I headed over to the Lake Chelan Sawtooth Wilderness for a quick trip to Libby Lake to check out the Larch conditions and bag a couple more peaks in my highest 100 endeavor. It's about a 5-mile hike up to the lake from the trailhead.
Libby Lake.
Libby Lake and Hoodoo Peak from Raven Ridge
The trees are starting to look good, but need another week or so to reach their peak color. Only the trees at the highest elevations are almost at their peak.
Larches at about 8000' near Hoodoo Peak.

The way home from Hoodoo Peak
A ridge I'd like to run. Star Peak on right.
I ran into Iron and Llama, at Libby Lake who were just coming down from Raven Ridge. Thanks for the gully info.
On the way out, I discovered this cool radio station out of Winthrop, 97.5 K Root.
