What a great bunch of photographs! Zowie! I love autumn color and warm, alpine days with clear air and broad views! Stilletto....almost reached it, once. It was a terrific day hike, though. I wonder why I did not plan it as an overnight trip? Hmmmm.... Summit views truly are fab! SilverStar and Kangaroo Spires make a most intruiging ridgeline. Go up Early Winters Creek from No. CAscade Hy. and find a comfy spot at the pass to view the Kangaroos...all too neat! Did that many times....it is best in autumn. Thanks again and wish you had more autumn hikes to show off all the photos and icy swims! I think we may have to wait until late Sept., 2009...but, who knows what someone will attempt this weekend....after all, day time temps could reach 50's in alp land...between snowdrifts! LOL!
