I made a quick after work hike last evening to check out the colors - not bad. Trail was wet after recent rain, I was glad for my ski poles on the way down.

They are both nice, but the 2nd one is sooo peaceful. Beautiful.

Thanks Gali, it was peaceful up there all by my lonesome - a big advantage of a mid-week evening. My favorite moment couldn’t be captured by my camera though. The lake and rocky circ were darkening to blue when the evening sun lit the clouds overhead with subtle pink for a couple minutes just before I left, filling me with my own inner glow.

The first time I camped up there, about 20 years ago, there was a family of minks living on that big rock. Best darn pair of mittens I ever had. dizzy.gif

Natural, great shot! I thought it was b&w until I looked close at the full size to see a little color on the right side of the lake. Thanks for posting, especially such a nice big version.
