Mission Mtn.
4.72 mi.
2170' gain

This Mtn. is one of the few, if not only, Mtn's surrounding Wenatchee that we haven't wondered up yet so we decided to go for it.
Access is practically impossibly in the Winter since all available roads are surrounded by private property on the way. A summertime route from the North via Burch Mtn. might be possible.
Driving around for a while we finally found an orchardist who gave us permission to park and cross his property to ascend up.
Nice views of the Wenatchee valley and enchantments. We were hoping for good views towards Nason Ridge but the clouds moved in on us early.
Fun trip, good company, wide open hillsides.

I think I tried stitching together too many photos. It won't let me enlarge without blurring it. I can maybe seperate it into 3 panos and enlarge.
Wildy will probably have some better panos to come.

I can see this mountain completely from my front window, and it's one of the few I haven't been up. Not a tree on it, and it's stunning in the winter with snow, or the spring with green vegetation lining it, and revealing every ridge and draw.
As Mark said, after about an hour of driving around to the S, W, E sides we finally found an access point, which ended up being pretty straightforward.
We initially delayed our start time, so the fog could dissipate somewhat, it did and we had clear blue skies and sunshine, but as we approached the mountain a cloud deck moved in from the W looking like one of the spaceships from the movie "Independence Day" and just as we hit the summit from the E, the sun and blue skies were gone. It was a cold Mf, it was 5 gegrees at the car, and with no sun, and some wind colder at the summit. Nice views of open country, this would make a good spring time romp to include Eagle Rock and Burch Peak. We managed to get Steve out of hibernation, and had a great time.

Nice area.
Is the dotted road on the map that comes from the SW on the ridge on private land?

The first section of the road is on private property. That was my original planned approach.
At the base of the road there is a big sign that says "What part of 'NO TRESPASSING' do you not understand?"

I didn't realized I could make it larger without blurring it. I just had to go back to autostich and redo it with a larger size. I originally had 15 photos put together at 7%. I then tried it at 100% but that was huge. Here's one I did at 35%

Wow, that mountain route we took is bare mostly now. I was out today for another quick assault, ice and mud, but I was surprised to find a rock formation, "Old Butte" to be a short and sweet class 3-4 scramble, and sat on the top in the sun for awhile.

Just a guess, but instead of "autostitch pro" it may be a question of "Flickr PRO". The regular, free Flickr accounts have a limit on reproduction size (I think it's about 16 inches). ........ Tom may be able to over-ride that on an individual pic basis (he did it once for me). Failing that, send the original to me or Wildernessed and let one of us post it at the desired size.
