Do people who bring their dogs on trips in the snow bag their dog's poop or just let their dogs crap in the snow? I'm not a dog owner. But if I were, I'd like to think I'd bury the dog's crap like I do my own. Or bag it, if it was in the snow on a trail. It is GROSS to come upon dogshit on a snowy trail. down.gif down.gif However, I realize some others might not care at all about that. Dog owners are so damn touchy. Like if you don't like their dog's crap, they take it personally. lol.gif bart.gif Anyway, I guess I don't mind so much that dogs crap out there... It's just that when it's ON the trail! mad.gif down.gif Especially a snowy trail. down.gif down.gif down.gif Would love to get feedback from conscientious dog owners. up.gif

My dog always wears hiker orange, his poop doesn't stink. I always pick up his poop and place it in the xc skier tracks. That way they will have something to gripe about other than the evil snowshoers, snowmobiles, people in general that aren't on those floppy skinny skis looking like dorks as they go flailing down the road ready to crash and burn. clown.gif

I hate spring
Persons who poo on the snow, toss their toilet paper on it, then kick a bunch of snow over the top to "hide" it. Spring comes along and a perfectly preserved poo - paper specimen is gently deposited onto the forest floor, usually within sight of the trail. bart.gif

I don't know how it isn't obvious - you let the dog poop on the snow, and then you bend down, bag it, and take it out with you. 'Cause it's not going to be buried in snow come spring!

Did you check to see if it was real? Maybe they are leaving fake poop to mark the trail for a safe return. Ya know, like flags, cairns, or snow scratches, 'cept nobody will mess with 'em. wink.gif

No, I make mine hold it until spring. My dogs are very well trained.
