Sunday turned out to be a decent break from the relentless rainy start to spring. Went looking for a day hike with a little mileage and no snow...and no further than a couple hours drive from civilization. Settled on Lime Kiln Trail just outside of Granite Falls, WA. A solid 7 miles or so RT.. and relatively flat (railroad grade) some of the way. The trail is clear of winters blow-downs.. someone has definitely been busy! At the end of the trail there is a great spot to have lunch on the edge of the Stillaguamish...before you head back.
Read the info board at the trail head...there is plenty of history to know about the area before you start the hike.

Beautiful photos, nicely captured. There's been more than one report on this trail and everyone brings their own unique photo interpretation. Yours are outstanding.
