I had initially thought of adding this to my earlier trip, but the conditions were so different, it just didn't feel right.

Beautiful, Gali. I've never seen the fields look quite so golden. I especially like 1, 2, & 6.

Thanks guys. Isn't this weekend great? cool.gif Sometimes I feel that I enjoy daffodils more than tulips; kind of like a Saturday/Sunday weekend thing...Sunday always brings a touch of sadness that the end is near.

It gives a vibe of endless Spring time opportunity. There is now hope we shall escape the snowy hold of Winter!

That was my favorite shot from the day. I had always wanted to take an airial-style shot of the daffodil/tulip fields but had been unable to until yesterday - I discovered this field (actually a pair), while I was driving around searching for inspiration. I was also extremely fortunate with the cow which, I believe, makes the shot. I even went down to thank it... wink.gif Actually, I was trying to get to the field (especially the white daffodils one to the left) but got stymied by a pesky ditch:

You know, I never thought about this when I took the photo (I was just trying to take a nice sunset shot rolleyes.gif ) but you are absolutely right! The darkness seems to be lessened by the bright flowers. Thanks for the comment; I have changed the Flickr title to "Hope" based on it. up.gif

In fact there is; it was news to me too. smile.gif I've been religiously making the pilgrimage to the Skagit valley tulip festival for the past 9 years and I never went there before. rolleyes.gif The photo was taken from Chilberg Road, near the southwest end of the region. You can see the hill I took the photo from in shot #8. Edit: To be more specific, it's field #12 in this map.
