It's been more than two months since I've been out for a real hike... today almost qualified... but not quite.

Regardless, here are the images I captured today (3/29/2009) between 7:00am and 1:00pm.

I am loading the 'large' size... but that's a farce because I forgot to take my camera off the 'small' pics setting so the pics aren't worth much more than viewing as-is online.  Quite a bummer as I really enjoyed a few of these images and had other hopes for them.

Woke up to some relaxing Island weather on Harstene Island, with view of McMicken Island in Mason County, outside of Shelton.

Met my newly-wed sister and her husband (and dog) for a walk through a variety of the Point Defiance 5-mile loop trails.  We didn't have a map and just kind of went on a random set of trails to see what we could see.

I learned that on Sunday Mornings the 5-mile Loop road is closed to vehicles, so runners, walkers, bicycles and dogs can enjoy the route at their own pace.  There were lots of them.
