I agree with that up.gif Thanks for the TR and nice pics. I like the first couple pics with the moisture evaporating from the forest

shack.....while i was busy with Muller, (twice! see my TR), you were lounging around the Hoh! gees, DVDs? i sure hope you had some spirits around to make the nights warmer. rain in the Hoh, who knew? biggrin.gif great photos, love the alder reflection one up.gif this is why people from around the world visit the Hoh. photos are great but like you wrote: "cameras have difficulty processing the mellow light filtered by the rainforest canopy." one must experience the Hoh in person! thanks!

Great Blue Heron on Taft Pond. up.gif up.gif What is it about Taft Pond that makes it so utterly fantastic? Is it -- The ducks? The raccoons? The Elk? The Eagles? I mean, it's like Grand Central Station for wildlife. I can stare at it for hours, waiting for the next critter to come along. Did you see the elk herd around? I'm thinking it's getting close to calving time. Used to be, for several years anyway, I think, they calved in the campground. Maybe they moved to a new location?

.....leaving me wanting to return over and over in what ever capacity that may be, even if one day my knees are too old and I can only see the mountains from my porch. Jason Hummel

ditto.gif It's gorgeous. Even with the deluge, I'm jealous. Right now I can imagine nothing more relaxing than sitting in a camper next to the river for a week, doing short hikes every day. Rain or shine.
