Scot and I did this one around this time last year, there were some flowers, but this year, TONS of balsamroots agree.gif up.gif the lupines and bluebells are starting to come up too. We saw some other stuff, but I only know about 10 flowers, so dizzy.gif gotta work on that embarassedlaugh.gif We got a super late start and left Woodinville ~ 10:30 and got to the TH after ~ 12:30. The weather was great, probably in the mid-60s, I was wearing t-shirt and shorts up.gif We took the trail all the way up to the summit, about 5 miles RT and 1800 ft. gain, nice little hike for this time of year cool.gif On the way down we met Mr. Sauer agree.gif well, he's actually Mr. Sauer's son, his dad built the trail, but he's a Mr. Sauer also lol.gif nice guy, chatted with him for a few minutes. Afterwards we went to Leavenworth for ice cream and shopped around for mother's day gifts, found some good stuff up.gif then we went down to the river front park to walk around a bit before heading home. It was peaceful, not too many tourists around town this time of year hmmm.gif

Driving back from Wenatchee on Sunday, those hills above Peshastin were THE place for balsamroot. Whole hillsides were just solid yellow. I had good patches, hiking on Saturday in the hills above Wenatchee, but I didn't have your light. frown.gif
