Topic seems to come up a lot. Would be nice to have a central place for all the trail recipes.

I would second this request. Food issues are one of the first elements of planning; a consolidated resource like a forum would be most helpful.

Could you at least move the food thread down near the bottom of the list near the Saloon when we see the lists at the home page?

For Quark's sake I think it should be matched with 'Partners' instead of 'Trail'

OK, I moved all the trail food related topics to this new forum. Looking for feedback re. whether energy bar / gel / drink discussion belong here or not? Also, what about post hike grub? Or should this forum be more focused on trail food and recipes?

How about if it's edible, it goes in the Food Forum.

I'd say all food here.
Then it doesn't get lost over in Saloon.
As well, energy gels/bars/drinks are a good way in research to find there are better things to eat

I agree with Sarbar - if it deals with food, put it in here.
Nice addition, although I am going to have to get used to seeing Trail/Food now at the top.
Opinions expressed here are my own.

I heartily second David's suggestion, and not just for Quark's sake!

Can this "Food Forum" be moved next to "Gear Talk" and "Photography Talk"?
I liked how "Trail Talk", "Partner/Trip Organization", and "Trip Reports"... things all related/semi-related, are next to each other near the top of the homepage.
As much as I like food, I think the "Food Forum" should be moved down the homepage.
Just a suggestion.

Love it. New location is perfect!
