At 7762 feet, the north summit of Ingalls Peak is #18 on the Back Court 100 List. It's always nice to have friends that are willing to help a person get to places that they would otherwise be unable to reach... and an hour of training on the X-Y Crags (across the street from the Eightmile Campground in Leavenworth) got me used to being belayed both up and down. Starting from the Ingalls Way Trailhead (4200'), we made the 4 mile, snow-free hike to Ingalls Pass (6500') in 2 hours... where we gave back a little elevation and contoured around snowy Headlight Basin... following footsteps to the base of the Dog Tooth that sits between the south and north summits of Ingalls Peak. We used 3 pitches on the Class 5.3 climb from the base of the Dog Tooth Crags... and all I had to do was shut up, watch and listen... as the four of us split into two teams... each team with a 200 foot rope. Excellent views from the Ingalls Peak summit. ~11 miles roundtrip, gaining ~3500 feet of elevation. Photos of our climb of the north summit of Ingalls Peak. ..

Agreed. "R&R" no longer stands for rest and relaxation. With you two, it stands for revved-up and ready-to-go.

Now that you all are checking off the few technical peaks in the Backcourt, and all those big dayhikes (Jack Ridge, etc.), you must be getting pretty close to the magic number! Nicely documented sequence photos of the route! Thanks for the great beta on Jack Ridge BTW, I somehow missed that report initially. Keep putting stuff Icicle/Chiwaukum off to hit 'em on skis, but I had better get busy! Actually, there just far in, truth be told. Thanks, John

It is definitely getting harder to reach the ones left on the list.
