Today my nephew wanted to go to Lost lake and do some fishing... We drove up there and spent a couple hours fishing and then we decided to hike up to Cottonwood lake and Mirror lake. We drove to the trailhead and then hiked the short hike into the lakes. No skeeters at Lost but lots at Cottonwood and Mirror lakes. I didnt realize that Mirror was on the Crest trail. Good short trip today.

The road up to Lost is just fine. Some pot holes but no big deal. The road to the end (at the Cottonwood and Mirror trailhead) is pretty crappy. I wheeled up there in four low. When we got back to the truck there was a Suby Outback next to me. Ha, I had to laugh. Great cars. There are two porta potties just down the road from the trailhead. I think that's where they want you parking for Mirror and Cottonwood.
