Well, since there have been numerous excellent trip reports on this route, I wasn't planning to write one, which is why this is showing up 5 days after the fact. But I thought most of you wouldn't see our pics on flickr without a link here, so decided to post one. The pics include captions, making for a mini-TR of sorts. Mt. Stuart pics

It looked like you had excellent weather, then all of a sudden I saw the clouds, did you end up with some great views from the top ? I know we scheduled, and rescheduled, but when we finally went we had blue bird skies in all directions and warm temps. It was worth the wait. There is a lot of erroneous beta and maps that are wrong, even on SP, so I plotted a route I thought was correct, the couloirs are so close, and floated it to Tom S., he said that's the one, so we went with it. I took my GPS and loaded the backtrack onto the map on my TR, so if anyone ever needs the route it's there with a description. Really nice rock at the top for foot and hand holds. up.gif

We had a few glimpses as the clouds blew in and out, but nothing far off. They were better as we were heading down. Your TR was one of our primary sources of beta, and an excellent one. Thanks!

Thanks for the pictures - gave me a better feel for the route than other pictures sets I'd seen before. Scheduling this for Sept.

Wow! Thanks for the photos, you're making me possitivily ashamed of my camera. Looks like it might be cloudy and windy up on the Old Man today. I'm hoping to run up there really soon.
