Gotta just love the Twisp pass area. I'll post some pics of a mostly frozen over Stiletto (that I took on a Jul 08 trip) later if I can find 'em.
Nice pics and efficient TR.

Great pics Ree. How was that traverse over to it from Twisp Pass?

Be there larches in this pano? How would this rate as an October larch hike?

We went in via Bridge Creek, not Twisp Pass... From Twisp Pass, there's an obvous trail, so no problem going that route.
I'm not so good at identifying the larches, David, so I'm not sure. As I recall, Blue Lake (which has lots o' larches,) is close by so probably. Maybe when the clown gets back, he can comment on the trees.

Steve and i are looking at extending our explorations into that area. Steve was at Stiletto Lake in the past and right at Twisp Pass he followed a well worn path over to Stiletto Lake.

Enjoyed your pictures - looks lovely. I've done the Bridge Creek Trail to Stehekin, but haven't yet done Twisp Pass or Stiletto Lake. Guess I'll have to one of these years.

Row upon row of larches, both at the lake and along the high meadows.
Just beginning to turn when I was there 9/28/08. (Edit: fixed the date)
Looks like they're late this year.
Ree, what was the date when you were there?

Matt, checked out your pics... nice work! Very pretty.
My pictures were taken about a month ago.
Kind of a long haul getting in there for an overnighter, but love that hike along the open talus and heather to get there. Gorgeous area.
