Greetings,
I wanted to send in this trip report before it got too out of date!
The first weekend of Oct ( two weeks ago) we went to Indian Camp in Teanaway with the Tahoma BCH chapter. We had a great time! The fall scenery with its reds and gold contrasted beautifully with the deep blue of the sky and the dark green of the pines. With the recent few days of rain here in Seattle I'm missing the bright colors.
Very much looking forward to visiting this area again!
More info as well as pics and trail maps for the area can be found here.
That first photo you have up is knapweed, I believe. It is a noxious plant that has been known to be somewhat carcinogenic upon skin contact. It grows all over here in the Inland Northwest -- including our property . The flower is pretty, though.
