We were going to do another peak but we got off to a very late start so we headed to Lincoln Park instead. I will write more but here are the pictures.

BearQueen was a lot faster on the steps than in times past. The consistant workout are really helping her with her cardio now. She was somewhat slow but didn't even start breathing heavy until the top. We were going to go up De Leo Wall but BQ didn't leave her doctors appointment until 1 pm and sunlight was an issue (though we did have a map and headlamps I thought to hold off until a better time). She did great here and the hikes are starting to help her on her endurance. As I have said before, I look forward to two to three years from now when my wife will be burning me on the trail. up.gif Go BearQueen!!!

Nice trees there, too. Grand Firs up to 135 ft. Biggest one, I think, is by the bathrooms by the ballpark.

Sorry I'm not up on all the tangled relationships on this site... EastKing and BearQueen are married? Hey, that's my park! biggrin.gif I run there 3-4 times a week nowadays. Grew up near there and still live relatively close by. Used to spend a lot of time there when I was a kid and teen too. Maybe I'll run into some of you down there one of these days. Keep your eyes open for the scruffy looking guy running with the dog that looks like a black lab with pointy ears.
