A preview of a little work, and some silliness along the Chelan lakeshore trail.the view from camp
Washington trails volunteer crew in all their silliness. Lots of characters with this crew, night time music,
our crew leader plays a mean guitar, and mandolin
a little harmonica
morel mushrooms to grill up, along with wild cilantro yummm
first the view from camp.........and another view from campview from the dock at Moore Point
after work each day plenty of time to relax and hang out by the lake
with one eye open.......for the chelan ness monster lurking to drag unwary victims into the water .......the Chelan Lochness monster gnawing on the crew
the view from Hunts bluff just a short wander along the trail from campHunts Bluff along the lakeshore trail
lots of crosscutt sawing on the lakeshore trail fires bring down dead trees every year...........hearing those saws sing as you cut is coolP4280080 48-Last Cut-1
even the little guy gets in o n the actionP4270058
and then the final heave ho and the satisfying toss down off the trail53-Last Cut-6
these early trips fill up fast usually late April, early May the perfect time to be on the lake no boaters yet, not too hot, the lake right there for a quick brrrrrrvering swim

Great area! Thanks for the reminders. I hiked it in 1997... Maybe I should go back!

This trip was late May. I've been on a couple from Moore Point, and one from Prince creek.... I'll probably go another from Moore Point this Spring..........WTA hasn't posted trips for this year yet.......
soon very soon
they go on the web site Feb 1st to gawk at and then sign up starts Feb 8th
a week hanging out on the lake is very cool ( well yeh we do work.......goofing around, gawking at the scenery, and relaxing in the sunshine, plus listening to the crosscuts sing while were cutting logs out make it fun )
we had a couple of kids go on a beer run to S..... on their day off one year go ducky!!!
