no, not crappy. very decent quality actually, but the problem is, how do you use up such a large quantity of meat before it goes bad? freeze-dried food is hygroscopic, even the slightest amount of absorbed moisture is enough to begin spoilage no matter how well it's repackaged. ofd recommends using up a #10 can within 2-3 weeks after it's opened.

Good quality but you will need to repackage it promptly. Desiccant packets are needed. And you want to use it up within 3 months. As well, for optimum quality, freeze any left after opening. Mylar bags for storage do seem to work best as well.

Freeze Dry
tend to buy the meals in # 10 tins then add more individual meat or vegetable and make the meal ultimate size what i want all this is then vacume packed lasts season to season...no problem. usually buy it by the case from the mormons in Utah Emergency Essentials....they are quick and easy to do business sometimes can get pro deals .....mostly get Mountain House ground beef is especially good in out opinion
