Assuming you do mean McCLELLAN Butte, the established trail is on the east side. Or do you mean an off trail climb straight up the east side fall line?
I did the North Face a couple weekends ago with Josh Lewis. It was great! We couldnt summit due to some unprotectible mixed climbing but its a cool hill. Good luck!
